The White Rabbit

I'm late I'm late, for a very important date. No time to say hello, goodbye! I'm late I'm late I'm late.

So, I am not technically late for anything, but I do feel like I have been rushing rushing rushing. And I feel all scattered, just like the White Rabbit is. You know, from Alice in Wonderland. I was off work for, what, like 10 days, and LOVED LOVED LOVED every minute of it, but didn't feel like I had any extra time. Cause, if you aren't working, you come up with a million other things that you want, need, should, could, oughta do. So, with all that being said....

I sure hope everyone had a great Christmas! Ours was wonderful! The kids make it amazing. Their faces, their excitement, their joy, just wonderful! Jarrod was the hardest to buy for this year - not into toys anymore, and he would not give us any ideas as to what he wanted. But, I think that Santa did a good job. Jayk had a list a mile long! Not even kidding! And Gryfinn and Caelyn were so very easy to buy for.

Oh, and our night away was great! I think what Jayk had was food poisoning so no germs spread. Caelyn did end up with an ear infection the Friday before we left, but she was feeling better by Sunday, or I think we would have taken her with us. We shopped, we had dinner, took dessert back to the room, ate that delicous oh so fattening chocolate cake with chocolate icing ad chocolate chips sprinkled on it right there in that super comfy king sized bed!! The room was actually more of a tiki hut. We had reserved a king spa room, but when we went to check in, they offered to upgrade us for a small fee, so Kel did, and we ended up having a private tiki hut with a huge spa tub and our own personal parking spot right in front. It was great! And the hut was decorated with like faux animal skins and heads and such - like it was from an African Safari or something. It was great! I missed the kids ever so much, but we had a great time, and I can't wait to have another night away! And not to mention that my Mom had a BLAST with the kids, and them with her! Although, Caelyn wasn't so happy with us when we got back. She wouldn't talk to us, wouldn't look at us. Until she fell and needed some loving, then she was all over me.

Gryfinn had strep again. We took him to the dr the day after Christmas. Christmas night the fever started and he just wasn't himself. In the middle of the night the fever started to spike, and when he woke up he just had that 'I have strep' look and act to him. Poor guy. But he is feeling so much better!

So today is New Years Eve. Out with the old and in with the new. I started my period, so I am saying that it is out with the bitchiness and in with the happiness!! We are going to my brothers and playing some cards. The kids love it there, and I am really looking forward to playing cards. I have not played since I was preggo with Gryfinn. So that has been 4 years. Geesh! So I am really looking forward to that!

I hope that all of you ring in the New Year surrounded by love and happiness and friendship. And that you get to kiss someone very special to you at midnight!

Please let it be food poisoning!!

Not that I ever want any of my kids to have been poisoned by something that they ate, but today, I am hoping that this what it is.

Jayk woke up at 4:30 am and got sick. He only got sick one more time, and that was at 6:30. He said his stomach hurts, but not in the 'I'm gonna get sick' kind of way. So I am hoping that it is just sore, ya know, cause he threw up violently.

I don't want it to be a stomach bug. Please, please, please don't let it be a stomach bug. We have plans. Kel and I have plans. To go away for a night. Just the two of us. Just us. We are going to dinner. And we are going shopping. And we are staying at a hotel. Just us. And I am SUPER excited about it. SUPER EXCITED! So, please, please, please don't let it be a bug. I don't want anyone else to get it. I don't want our plans to get ruined. I don't want anyone else sick. I don't want our plans to get ruined. Please let it just be food poisoning. PLEASE!! I really want to go away. I am looking forward to a night away. I am really looking forward to dinner. A hot dinner. Ate all at once , with no interruptions. With no spills, no spit out food, no whining, no complaining, while it is still hot!! I am so looking forward to getting away. Please, please, PLEASE don't let it be a bug!!!!

The Real Reason....

We put up window clings! They keep the kids busy for HOURS!! (well, not technically, but anything that keeps them busy for a few minutes at a time is GREAT!!)

When It Rains...

It effin pours!

And that's all I have to say about that.

Does anyone have a beach house, you know, an ocean front beach house, on any beach, a secluded island would be nice, or a house on top of a mountain - that they would be willing to lend me for a bit? GOSH I could really use a vacation. And if you have the beach house or mountain top house, can I also borrow your private jet to fly us there?! lol Well, you can't blame a gal for asking, now can ya?

Below are pic's of our newest addition. We aren't positive, but think she's a girl. We aren't positive of a name yet either. Caelyn calls her PG (our other kitty is named PJ, it comes out PG) Gryfinn calls her kiTTen - with those T's being very pronounced, or he calls her KeKe. (he likes the Fresh Beat Band) And Jarrod is calling her Bells - short for Jingle Bells. She is super sweet! And is probably afraid for her life - cause Gryfinn and Caelyn won't leave her alone. Poor kiTTy!

Do You Believe?

My brother (Doug) and nephew (Ben) live in a house that was built in May of 1919. It used to be a one room cabin, but it was added on to. A kitchen, bathroom and bedroom was put on the first floor, and two bedrooms, a loft or walkway, and another bathroom on the second floor. They just moved into the house in July. There is 34 acres of land - 32 of that being wooded. It is gorgeous! We love going out there! The kids all have a blast. There is a trail through the woods, a creek, and the back porch looks out into the woods. Just breath taking!

Well, Friday night, I was sitting on his couch with him, and he looked at me and said "Do you believe in ghosts?" and I responded with a simple "yes" and he replied with "I think we have one!" He then goes on to tell me the following things.

He said that the first time he noticed anything was about 2-3 weeks ago. Ben was away for training for his job, and Doug was at the house by himself. He has some major problems with his back, so he said a lot of times he ends up sleeping on his couch. And that night, he was. He said that he doesn't know what woke him up, but something did at 3am. So he sat up on the couch, (which sits directly in front of the staircase). And the next thing he heard was something run up the stairs and across the loft towards his kids bedroom (they live with their Mom, so they weren't there.) He said it sounded like a kid, because the feet kinds shuffled along as it ran. It freaked him out, but he told himself that it was a raccoon or something. So, he grabs the baseball bat, and goes through the house. He found nothing, and the only thing out of the ordinary was that one of Ben's windows were open, and the curtain was blowing in the wind. (Ben swears that he has never opened that window.)

He said the next thing that happened was a couple of nights later. They buy yogurt covered pretzels. The pretzels come in a jug, that has a screw top lid. Doug said he got up, again in the middle of the night, and walked into the kitchen. He said the lid was laying in the middle of the kitchen floor, and a couple of pretzels were sitting out on the microwave, next to the container.

And then he goes on to tell me this part. And he said that this is what really got him. Thanksgiving night, Jarrod and Jayk spent the night there with him and his kids, (Kelsey and Kaleb). He said they were watching a movie, and Kelsey and Kaleb fell asleep during the movie. Kelsey was on the floor, on a bean bag chair that was in front of the couch. Kaleb was sitting up on the couch. When the movie was over, Doug asked Jarrod and Jayk if they wanted to go to sleep or watch more tv. Jarrod said he was tired and Jayk wanted to watch more tv. So Jarrod fell asleep on the loveseat and Jayk and Doug watched a lil more tv. When they were done, Doug laid Kaleb down on the couch, and Jayk laid at the other end of the couch. Doug took a sleeping bag and covered Kaleb up, tucking the sides in around him. Doug then walks into the kitchen, turns off the lights, and walks back in to the living room. When he gets in front of the couch, he notices that Kaleb is no longer covered up. So he looks around, and sees that the sleeping bag is CLEAR across the room in front of the fire place. Jayk was the only one awake, so Doug asks him how the blanket got over there, and Jayk just responds with 'I don't know'. There is no way that Kaleb could have gotten up and moved it, cause Jayk would have felt him, and he couldn't have thrown it, or slid it across the floor, cause Kelsey was in the way.

So, as we were talking, I said to him "When I was kid, my friend, Angie, they said their house was haunted, and that things would come up missing, and then show up later, in some random place" and he goes on to tell me about his kids football. He said it was missing for two weeks. They couldn't find it. He said that when the kids leave after being there for a weekend, he cleans the house from top to bottom, and puts everything back in its place. Never came across the football. So he told the kids they must have left it outside. So the combed the yard, and never came across it. He said that he keeps extra towels in their closet, and he just finished doing laundry, and was going to put the towels away. And as he was walking to the closet - there sat the football - right on top of the toy box.

So, do you believe? Is this all just a coincidence? Was there a raccoon in the house - that ran up the stairs and unscrewed the pretzel container? Did Kaleb kick the covers off? Was the football there the entire time? Or is there really a ghost? A presence from the afterlife?

Seven and Counting

Seven years! I can't believe it, but then again, did life exist before you? Did I exist before you? I feel that I was just going through the motions of life. I loved being Jarrod's Mom, but that was all that I was before you. I had no desire to be in a relationship, and I was content with just having Jarrod. But you changed all of that. You really have made me the person I am today. You opened up my life, and made me see what it really had to offer. You made me want more. You showed me what love is - what it is to love and be loved. And without you, I would be lost. Only a fraction of who I am now that I am with you. You have given me so much. A home, a life, Jayk, Gryfinn, Caelyn - but most of all, you have given me your heart, your love. And for all of those things, I am truly blessed! I love you baby! Happy 7th Anniversary. I look forward to many many many more!

Birds of a Feather
I can't be anything without you
Don't you know?
It's a shame.
I'm sitting at my desk and it's noontime
And I want just to call you
Cause we go together
Just like jam and bread
Or maybe birds of a feather
(feather)
I don't know anything about you
Don't you know?
That's the game
I'm sitting on my bed and I wonder
What will it take for you to call me?
Cause we go together (we go together)
Just like jam and bread
Or maybe birds of a feather (feather)
And hey, can you hear me?
When I shout out loud
I'm wishing you could be near me (shout)
I don't care if the bills are paid as long as she is with me
I don't care if my soul is saved as long as she forgives me
I don't care if the mood is wrong, wishing and hoping,
I don't need to be an astronaut
As long as you ar ki- ki- ki- ki- kissing me
Cause we go together (together)
Just like jam and bread
Or maybe birds of a feather (jam - feather)
And hey are you listening?
When I shout out loud
I wish it's you I was kissing (shout - kissing)
I can't be anything without you (we go together)
Don't you know? (just like jam and bread)
It's a shame (Or maybe birds of a feather)
I can't be anything without you (And hey are you listening?)
Don't you know? (When I shout out loud)
It's a shame (I wish it was you I was kissing)
I can't be anything without you
Happy Anniversary Kelly. I love you!

She Surprises Me!

Every day, she does! Miss Caelyn is just something else. And believe me, I am not bragging, I am just surprised. Our boys didn't talk like she does at 17 months. Our boys didn't climb like she does at 17 months. Our boys did not do the things that she does at 17 months! I swear, she just blows me away!
Her vocabulary is amazing. She repeats everything, but out of nowhere she will say something that we didn't even know she could say. Like 'Need You!' for instance. She will say this if she is upset or hurt, and wants either Kel or I. And she just started saying this out of the blue. (totally breaks your heart when she is crying and says this).
And she is such a little Mommy! She loves babies. Real or doll or a picture, it doesn't matter. She loves them all! And she will kiss them! And hug them! And push them around in the stroller! (well, the doll, not the real!) And if you have a boo boo, she will mother you, and kiss it, and say 'aww, boo boo' and kiss it again!
And she climbs our gates that we have. The one from the kitchen into the living room. I am not quite positve if Gryfinn at 3 years can climb it. Well, I am sure he can, but he doesn't. But, yes, Caelyn, at 17 months, climbs it. She has no fear!
And Gryfinn is all into making obstacles. Out of clothes baskets, and stools, and the kicthen bench. And he will line them up, and walk across them, and then jump onto the couch. And sure enough, Caelyn is right there behind him, doing everything that he does!
I don't know if all of this is because she is a girl, or because she is the baby, or because she has 3 older brothers, or if this is just who she is. But she really does amaze me! And each day, she surprises me with something new!

Wednesday

So, I don't want to say it's wordless, cause I have some things to say. So, that is why the title is just 'Wednesday!' :-)

Life is still busy - it is like we are living in the fast lane. And, since this is November, it won't stop until after the Holidays - and we of course, will go from doing 85 in a 65 to doing 75 in a 65. We will slow down, some. So - with that being said - I SUCK! haha This blog once a day for 30 days thing - nope, didn't happen. I did good, for what, 2 maybe 3 days! So, right now, my goal is to blog, 2, maybe 3 times a week. Whether it be pictures, or words, or pictures and words. I think that this new goal is more reasonable, and I am less likely to fail at it!

My dear blog buddy, Sarah, over at Dance Peanut, is having a give away contest. Go check out her blog, (she has the cutest little boy) and also join in on the contest!

Below is a pic of my little kiddles. They are looking through a toy magazine. It was so cute! It was first thing in the morning - Caelyn is in a night shirt and diaper, no pants, and Gryfinn PJ shirt, bed time pull up, and no pants. And they were ECSTATIC over all the toys! Pointing to stuff, and Caelyn would yell out "BABY" and point at all the babies and Gryfinn would shout "Look Sis, it's Dora!" It was too too too cute!

Always My Baby...

I know, he probably won't like that - but yes, he will always be my baby. He may no longer be a baby, and he may no longer be a little boy. But he is, and always will be, My Baby!

Please join me in wishing Jarrod a VERY VERY HAPPY 12th BIRTHDAY!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR JARROD!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

Happy Birthday, Baby, I love you!!

Jaykie Man

In this post, I had tried to post pictures of Jaykie for his birthday. The system was acting up, and I could not get it to work. And, as with everything else, I didn't get it done then, so I haven't done it yet. BUT.... today - I am posting some of his baby pictures! Just check out those ENORMOUS blue eyes - and he would say, when asked where he got those big blue eyes - that he got them at WalMart! Silly boy! In so many of his pictures, he has those eyes open so very wide - which gives a whole new meaning to 'with eyes wide open!' I believe that he was and still is, just taking it all in! I love you Jaykie, so very much!

Why....

is it so hard to come back when you have been gone? I have been meaning to post. Every day I think about it. I think about what I want to post about. Eveything that has happened since my last post. Well, since my last word filled post. And since my last picture post. And then I wonder where to begin. And then I think, where did I leave off? How long has it been? Geesh, has that much time really gone by? And then I realize it has been another couple of days. And more has happened. And wait, what all did I want to post about? And then my moment of free time is gone, and with it my moment to post. And then another couple of days go by. And before I know it, it has been a month. Time sure does get away. And it really is hard to come back. But, I am back. Or, at least, trying to make a come back.

I am going to try and post something everyday for the next 30 days. (yes, key word is try!) So that I can really make a come back, and get back into blogging. I enjoy it, and I have missed it.

Fall Foto Frenzy!

We took some pictures last week in our back yard. They turned out great!!
