Well, guess who has strep?

That's what the dr said when she came back in. Had just done the rapid strep test. And it's positive. Caelyn has strep. Again.

Poor baby. We knew it was coming though. On Monday she told Kelly that she didn't feel good. That her throat hurt. Yesterday, she was super sensitive. Cried over the littlest thing. That's not like her. And then she fell asleep at 7pm. That's definitely not like her either. She woke up around 9 (we were watching idol with the big boys) - and climbed on the chaise with Kel and I and fell back to sleep. Around 930, I have Jayk get me the thermometer, cause she felt warm. Temp was 101.1. Knew it was strep. She is a trooper though. Doesn't freak out at the dr like Gryfinn always has. Didn't like the throat culture, but doesn't completely lose it when it is done. And she takes her medicine like a champ. And except for being super sensitive, she handles being sick so well.

Wanna know why else we knew it was coming? Kel and I are both off work this week - and the boys are on Spring Break. Someone usually gets sick when we are off like this. Just the way it works. Not that it put a damper on any of our plans - the weather did that. It is cold, and it snowed yesterday. So much for a 'spring' break. We wanted to go to the zoo this week, and spend a day at a local campground - but those things are only 'weather permitting' and let me tell ya - the weather is NOT permitting. So, instead we have been helping my Mom get her new house in order. We spent Monday out there getting her kitchen together - cleaning and painting, and the boys also shampooed the carpet in the bedrooms. And I wiped down the walls and painted one of the bedrooms on Tuesday - so we have been busy. Tomorrow we are planning to go to the movies (cross fingers that Caelyn feels up to it!!). We had thought we would go see Hop - but Gryfinn wants to see Gnomeo and Juliet - so I am not sure what we will see. But it will be fun. A nice family outing - inside a movie theatre where it is dry and warm. ;o)

It Could Be Worse...

Sooo... Last night, Kel went to the grocery store. When she got back, the big boys carried in the groceries. Well, they left 2 car doors open. Yes, T.W.O. car doors. And guess what? It rained last night. But that's not all. A cat apparently decided to take shelter from the rain in our wide open car.... & apparently thought there was no need to venture out in the rain so it decided to relieve itself in the car. So now our car reaks of cat piss. And that smell makes me wanna throw up. And now, everytime I get in the car, when I get out, I fear that I smell like cat piss. It is such a horrid smell. But.... It could be worse. Both mine & Kelly's wallets were in the middle console of the car. Free for anyone to take... With T.W.O. car doors wide open..... But luckily they were still there. They might have absorbed some of the stench from the car & smell like cat piss... But atleast they were still there. So, no matter what happens, always remember.... IT COULD BE WORSE!

This Moment

much to say about nothing

So - as I have stated before, I suck at blogging. I have so much to say, about so many things, but don't have the time, and some days, just lack the enthusiasm. Not because I don't love blogging, but more because I feel that I really don't have anything to say. I mean I do, but really, do I? haha Yeah, not making much sense, am I?!



Don't know if I mentioned this, but both Jarrod and Jayk tried out for traveling teams, and both made it. How awesome is that?! So all three of our boys will be playing baseball this year! And we will be busier than ever! But I am really looking forward to it! The traveling will be the best part - especially for those couple of tournaments that are quite a drive away, so we will be staying away for the weekend! Really looking forward to that! Especially since we won't be doing a big family vacation this year. All of our extra money was spent on the home remodeling - which is coming along great! The living room/kitchen/hall floors are all done. The new furniture from I.KEA is put together, and looks AMAZING !! And we all fight over the chaise!! We are working on getting pictures put back up on the walls. We wanted to do something different with the pictures, so we are printing off new and buying new frames. So, it is a work in progress - and so far I love how it has all turned out! We are hoping to get our bedroom floors done this upcoming weekend, but we have run into an issue with one of the walls. There was water leaking in, and now there is a section that has mold. So, that has to be taken care of before we can move on to the floors. But soon, we will have our bedroom done, so we can move our bed and stuff out there, and then get started on making our old room Caelyn's room! Oh - and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the dishwasher! I mean, seriously, I LOVE it! And as soon as everything is finished, I will post pic's. Promise!



Have to say that I am super de duper proud of Kel and I. We are both L.O.S.E.R.S. !!! I have lost 23 pounds! Yes - TWENTY-THREE pounds! Although I am super proud of myself, it just makes me sad that I let myself get this big. When we started this healthier living thing, I was bigger than when I was when I had Caelyn. With each kid, I gained, and never lost all of my weight (with Jarrod being my biggest weight gain and the least amount of weight lost). But, I am on the road to getting healthier, so that is great, and that is why I am proud. So proud!!! I am now only 5 pounds away to be at my pre-Caelyn-pregnancy weight. Which was what my first goal was set at. My next goal will be to get to my pre-Gryfinn-pregnancy weight. I feel thinner. By no means do I feel thin, but I sure as hell feel thinner. My clothes all fit different - and I LOVE it!



I am trying to stay caught up on commenting on blogs, but I suck at this. But I do read all of the blogs that I follow. I love seeing pic's and reading what is going on. Even if it seems that I don't, I really do!!
