The Way His Mind Works

This is just a glimpse of the things he says. The way his mind works. He really does amaze me!!

Last night, during bath time, Kelly was talking to Gryfinn and Caelyn about the work they have been doing on the computer. They were talking about Caelyn's work. They pick a letter, and then it goes through the sounds and different things that begin with that letter.

Caelyn asks what letter is next and Kelly says that they will just go in order, and do the next letter. And Gryfinn says...

Gryfinn : "You have to do X next"
Mama : "No, we will go in order, we will do C next"
Gryfinn : "No. You did Z and Y, then you did A and B. Next you will do X and W and then you will do C and D"

Seriously, how does he spout off the alphabet backwards like that? For me to figure out what is next when doing the alphabet backwards, I have to think really hard about it or go Q R S T U V W X - to figure out what is before Y, or X or whichever letter. But for him, he knew that they did 2 from the end of the alphabet going backwards, and then 2 from the beginning, so to keep the pattern going, they needed to do 2 from the end, and of course he just knew that X and W would be next. Really? He is just too much! He just amazes me each day. The way he thinks, it just blows me away!!
