Day 8

Today I am thankful for sleeping in. Whether it be til 7 or til 9, just not having to get up to an alarm, and then rush around to be out of the house. To get up, drink some coffee, talk to my wife. Yes, I am thankful for mornings like this!

Day 6

Today, I am thankful that I got to be a part of witnessing this wedding. I LOVE love. And everything that goes with it. I have a hars time not crying at weddings, because of what marriage means to me. There is nothing greater in this world than love. Love for your kids. Love for your parents. Love for your friends. And love for your spouse. Yes, I said that one last, but because of the meaning that it has for me. I do feel like I am one of the lucky ones. To have the kind of love that will last. The kind where I put my spouse first, where her feelings and her opinions matter. Where if anything were to happen to her, or to us, I don't think I could go on. To have that for real true love.

And this couple, my nephew and his wife, they have that kind of love. Their wedding was not about the show. It was not about the spectacle. It was about the marriage. And I am so thankful that I was there. To be a part of them making their vows to each other. And I am also thankful that I was able to capture thia moment for them.

Day 4

I am thankful for doctors that care. Caelyn has an inner ear infection. And she is in pain. Horrible pain. Tears rolling down her face pain. Which absolutely breaks my heart. I take her to the dr. As soon as we get there, she starts feeling nauseous. So we spend our first 10 minutes there in the bathroom. She didn't get sick, but I put a cold rag on her neck and wiped her face down. So, she is feeling nauseous, and in pain. We get called back to a room. And as we are walking back, the dr sees us. Th nurse comes in immediately. Weighs her, takes her temp, asks me the normal when did this start? Is she on any meds? Is she allergic to anything? And then she says, 'He's waiting at the door. He told me to get in here. To hurry. That she is in pain and he needs to get in here to see her.'

Being that it is a very busy Dr's office, I never expect to be there less than an hour. We got there at 1:30, spent 10 minutes in the bathroom. Got checked in and filled out paper work. Called back. Seen the nurse. Seen the dr. And we were back in the car before 2:00.

So, I am definitely thankful for a dr that cares. That saw my baby's pain and came right in to see her.
