Is That Dave Chappelle???

Ok - so we know that we are silly - and that it doesn't take much to impress us. But heck, we live in Springtucky for goodness sakes - nothing exciting ever happens here!

We were on our way to our dr's appt on Monday - just driving along. My dr's office is in this quaint lil town - that is very liberal, very open-minded, heck - just very open in general. Everyone is welcome, they have practically NO crime or violence there - except for the traffic violations, as the police officer just sits and waits for someone to go 3 miles over the speed limit, or to not wait those full 3 seconds at a stop sign. Anyways, in the middle of town, they have these crosswalks, and traffic has to stop for pedestrians. As we were approaching the crosswalk, I saw a lady in a wheelchair getting ready to cross the street, so I slowed, and then looked to the other side of the street. Right in front of the lil theatre - is a man, who I was thinking, looked an awful lot like someone famous. So, nonchalantly, I ask Kel - Is that Dave Chappelle? She was like 'what? HOLY CRAP THAT IS DAVE CHAPPELLE!!!!' We knew that it was known that he lives there, but never in a million years did we think that he would be standing there, on the street, smoking a cigarette, and then walk over to the lady in the wheelchair - all right in front of our very eyes!! We thought this was great! Someone famous - just out in public - and the rest of the people acted like it was No. Big. Deal.... like he was just one of them! Good thing we were in our car, on our way to the dr, cause we were just ever so giddy about seeing this man we find utterly hilarious. But, that is another reason why I love that quaint little town. Because to all of the people that do live there, or frequent there, he is just one of them - just one that is quite known around the world.
