Goodbye 2011... HELLO 2012!

Christmas was amazing - I have pic's, but they are still on the camera. We brought in the New Year at my brother's house, with our kids, his kids and Mom.  We had a lot of fun.  Those pictures, also, are on the camera.  Except for the few on the ipod, which are no good to me right now, since I am posting from a computer.  But soon, (I hope) I will share them! ;)

Have to say that I am glad 2011 is over.  It was a rough year for us.  Financially.  3 surgeries, 3 trips to the ER - those medical bills are KILLER, and not to mention the stress of having your kiddle being put under or requiring a trip to the ER.  But, we made it through.  Things were tough, but, I am proud to say that this Christmas was amazing, and we did not charge a single present!  And that, my friends, makes me happy!  And I know, medical bills don't just 'disappear' when the year rolled to 2012 (but damn, I sure do wish that was the case!) - but, with our flex spending acct from work, and this and that, those bills will be almost if not entirely paid off, here shortly.  And that also makes me happy! 

This is going to be my motto for 2012

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can,  and wisdom to know the difference.

I am not a religious person, but this really puts in to perspective how I feel about things.  I want to let go of the things that upset me in 2011.  Granted, some will be harder than others.  And some of those are still here in 2012.  But, I can not control the actions of other people.  I can not stop them from doing the things that they do.  But, I can control how I react to it, and I can control how this affects my family.  And, my family is all that matters to me.

This was a greeting that I got from the officiant that I have been working with! HOW FRIGGING EXCITING IS THAT?!!

Going to the chapel and we're gonnnnna get MAA. AAA. AARRIIIEEEEEDD!!  EEEKK!!  Well, not so much a chapel, but an outdoor wedding, around a famous monument, and a pond, and I am not going to say anymore!  How's that  for a teaser?!?!  haha  I have an entire post designated to wedding information!  And I am so excited to talk about all of it!  But not yet.... tomorrow... maybe.  If I get around to it! ;)  (like I won't get around to it - I am overflowing with excitement to talk about it! So much so, that I will probably go ahead and type it  up and schedule it to post tomorrow! :)
